Britains Set #1641 Underslung Lorry And Light. Boxed 1st version Underslung Lorry, square nosed cab, along with #1640 Searchlight on wooden base to mount on lorry, both in dark green. Lorry is wartime issue with rare all-lead wheels, as the war rubber shortages cut off supply for rubber wheels for toys, and this "change" to the usual vehicle composition is noted on a small sticker on box lid. Lorry condition is very good, some paint chips, searchlight condition is excellent, glass lens is loose. 2 boxes, both very good, lorry box has card insert, none for searchlight box which has scuffed lid edges. This version offered only 1941. |
