Gamages, Indian Army Pontoon Section
(circa 1947), service dress with mounted officer with Original Indian Army LSGD medal and Unit Cap Badge. Very good, box good. This lot was acquired via a well known English auction house, where they were described as Britains "Specials", in many cases supplied through Gamages. There is no compelling evidence that Gamages ever produced such special orders. There is no doubt that they are one off special commissions, but the identity of the maker/ painter remains unconfirmed.
