Gamages, The Highland Brigade
Highlanders in green jackets and kilts in original box, 16 pieces; Very good, box fair-good, faded, splits in lid, tie card torn. This lot was acquired via a well known English auction house, where they were described as Britains "Specials", in many cases supplied through Gamages. There is no compelling evidence that Gamages ever produced such special orders. There is no doubt that they are one off special commissions, but the identity of the maker/ painter remains unconfirmed.
