Britains Band of 3rd Kings Own Hussars
or similar No 1 Dress, white peak caps, special commission by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) for display in the regiment’s recruiting office, 34 pieces; Excellent. This lot was acquired via a well known English auction house, where they were described as Britains "Specials", in many cases supplied through Gamages. There is no compelling evidence that Gamages ever produced such special orders. There is no doubt that they are one off special commissions, but the identity of the maker/ painter remains unconfirmed.
